Reluctant Heroes (Jean x Reader x Eren) CHAPTER 5
“You’re falling behind, [Last Name]!
Your head snapped up at the sound of your name only to realise you were indeed lagging behind the rest of the group. You gritted your teeth and increased your pace, leaving a panting, stumbling Armin behind in the mud until you were level with Jean again in the middle of the group. The entire 104th Training Squad were sullen and shivering, hoods pulled up against the cold rain. The cloaks did little against the sleet and you were all soaked through within minutes.
Jean threw you a sideways glance. “What was that about?” he hissed.
You returned his look with a glare. “IR

The accident had been over nine years ago, but no moment of that day had faded from his mind.
You were only teenagers then, young and foolish and ignorant to worldly struggles. Levi had been working late that night, and when he got home all he wanted to do was collapse on his bed and fall asleep. It was much to his shock and dismay, however, when the hospital called to inform him that you had been in critical condition after being involved in a car crash.
He swore that he never ran faster in his life. He would’ve crawled through blood and fire to get to you – he had to see you, he had to know that you were okay. The thought that

."[f/n]!!!!!!" Hanji yelled across the hallway.
You sighed and turned around, dead panning her as she ran down the hall like a headless chicken. She's been bugging you a lot for the past week telling you all about her little children. Correction, her Titan children.
"What now Hanji, I swear if you're here to tell me one of your titans was being a bad boy again I will slap--" you got cut off by her loud voice.
"HAVE YOU SEEN SHORTY HICCUP BEFORE?" She stopped right in front of your nose and grinned.
"Wait... What." You looked at her and processed what just happened. All you heard was Levi and hiccups. You gave a small smile and said "No."

You were walking through the corridors of HQ, silently fuming. It was so typical of Eren to come up with a plan like this, and even more typical was the fact that you got the worst end of it. As you turned a corner, the events of the past hour flashed through your head:
...
It was after dinner, and all the 104th cadets were in their dormitory. Eren, Mikasa, Armin and you were sitting in a circle on the floor. The rest of the cadets were scattered around the room. Most were lying on their bunks, and Sasha was eating somet

"Whaaaaaaaaat?" practically yelled Sasha, causing you to cringe and look behind you at the group of male cadets all gathered on Marco's bunk on the other side of the room.
"Don't be so loud, Sasha!" You hissed. She, Mikasa, Christa, Ymir and you were huddled together on your top bunk. Annie lay on her bunk below yours, apparently sleeping.
"But you're going to the prom with corporal Levi! This is big, (f/n)!" Before you could open your mouth, Sasha twisted and yelled across

The bedroom light quivered with an unfathomable rhythm, distressing your eyes. You finally gave in and turned it off with a light push to the switch.
Evolution of human intelligence didn't matter when it came to dealing with light bulbs so without even trying to fix it, you surrendered. The room became dark, not even a tendril of light could seep its way inside.
It wasn't a surprise when your sense of sight became numb. You blinked several times to get used to this feeling, no object to be seen in your way. You felt like a person trapped in a scorching hot desert, wandering aimlessly to find a puddle of water.
"(Name)? Are you there?" Levi
